Hello and welcome to my website.

Over the course of the next few months, I will continue its development in order to showcase my advancement as a teacher.

Here you will find artifacts from my field experiences and student teaching experience to highlight my successes in the classroom as well as show proficiency in state and national teaching standards.

My heritage is very rich in diversity. I consider this to be one of my greatest blessings. I have grown up a member of a family who stands proud despite a history of deep wounds from slavery, racism, and oppression. The story of my family highly motivates my commitment to implement teaching practice that values cultural uniqueness and justly provides motivation for each unique learner to succeed in an increasingly pluralized society. You will see this underlying theme continually reflected throughout this site in both my philosophy and practice.

Be sure to follow the Visit Our Cyber Class link on the home page. Developing and maintaining an interactive classroom website is something I hope to continue throughout my teaching career. Be sure to check back over the next few months to see the site unfold as the Hope Floats project continues!

Thanks,

Sara North
